Andy Gaab came to lending the long way: two decades in construction and real estate, most recently as a senior project manager running damage-assessment-to-turnkey rebuild projects across Florida for the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust. Before that, years in insurance and financial services. He has read more budgets, draw schedules and contractor bids than most underwriters ever will — because producing them used to be his job.
